In its July 2021 Newsletter, the Queluz and Belas Parish Council reports that Sintra will have a hospital with adequate services to welcome its users, including a site for the future construction of a heliport, and will be prepared to expand its responses, both in terms of new specialty consultations and the construction of two floors to install up to 120 more convalescent beds.
The equipment will consist of:
1 –Programmed Outpatient Clinicwith OutpatientConsultations and Examinations; Mental Health Unit; Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Unit, Collection Center and Complementary Diagnostic and Therapeutic Means;
2 – Ambulatory Surgery Unit with Surgery Block and Recovery Room;
3 – Basic Emergency Service to serve around 60,000 emergencies, around half of those carried out at Amadora/Sintra Hospital;
4 – Convalescence unit with 60 beds;
5 – Pharmacy;
6 – Sterilization Unit;
7 – Education and Training.
